Hints on sending photos
to Horse Country magazine
Please send graphics at no more than 4" x 6" with
a final resolution of 300 dpi.
Please DO NOT crop, sharpen, colour balance or otherwise manipulate
your photo in a graphics program prior to sending. We will do
anything necessary during our print production process
If your file has been taken on a digital camera
at “email
quality” or “small”, the resolution will not
be high enough to produce a quality print in the magazine.
Paper print production requires a resolution of 300 dpi/ppi. Your
graphics program will allow you to upgrade a file from 72 dpi to
300 dpi, but you will not be adding quality, just fuzz. The file
has to be 300 dpi to start with to be able to print it to the high
quality you expect from Horse Country. For this same reason, logos
and pictures from web sites cannot be accepted as they are at a
resolution of 72 dpi.

File type: tiff or pdf
Use Winzip to reduce file size
